Driving for Adelaide Winery Tours and Partybuses

All of our guys and girls are part time.  Most have another job, their own business or are semi-retired.  The nature of our work means Saturdays and weekends are the busiest times.  Please take a look around this website, and you will gain a fair understanding of what we offer, and consequently what you need to bring to the table.

Essential – if this is not you, then please don’t apply

All of our women and men love being around people, and enjoy showing off Adelaide and South Australia to tourists from near and afar.  We can relate to everybody, hold an appropriate conversation and share a story.  We have lived in SA for several years and know our way around, are absolutely reliable, honest and accountable.  Our communication skills are second to none.  We take pride in our professional appearance and speech.  We understand that in Adelaide, repeat customers are the be-all and end-all.

Desirable – really, you need to tick most of these boxes

  • IT conversant including email, SMS, internet
  • Previous experience in a range of customer service fields, hospitality, sales, cash handling, tourism
  • Enjoys music and great local food, wine, cider & beer
  • Lives within commuting distance of Thebarton – our home base
  • Non smoker

Legal

Full SA truck driver license (MR or larger), Office of Public Transport Accreditation (LP), has an ABN.

Things you DON’T need to begin with

Some of these may surprise you, but some are just not part of what we do, and others are simply processes which can be worked through once we have established that you are the right person for the job – by being on the job.

Not essential are experience in truck or bus driving, alcohol serving, knowing where every winery is, in depth wine and beer knowledge, giving commentary on tourism areas, tourism accreditation or insurance.

Big no-no’s

You would need to fit in with our current team, to adapt yet bring your own personality to enrich the group.  What would that look and feel like?  Here are a few “disqualifying” characteristics:

Don’t bother if you are opinionated, unenthusiastic, have poor time management, are a know-it-all, unwilling to learn, unkempt, inflexible, permanently tuned into WI FM.

Just being honest, trying to save both of us some time.

If you are “suitable” and keen, then email steve@adelaidepartybuses.com.au.  🙂
